The Kanto region (Japanese: カントー地方 Kanto-chihō) is a region of the Pokémon world. It is located east of Johto, and as revealed by the radio show Sinnoh. Seven regions have appeared in the core series of Pokémon games. They are, in order of appearance, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola. Kanto is the first region in the Pokémon universe and in the popular series and games; it was then followed by Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola. The Pokémon known from Kanto region were the base Pokémon released in Pokémon GO, but not all Pokémon of this region were released at one time.
